Our agency’s Electronic Health Record system makes it easy to identify and track services provided by our clinicians. Since the beginning of this calendar year, Project CONTACT has seen 88 families during 501 sessions, totaling over 420 hours of service. That’s an impressive amount indeed.
Unfortunately, however, our agency doesn’t have an easy way to quantify all the other support the project provides. Here are some things that don’t get officially measured:
Clinicians:
- Participating in informal case consultations
- Assisting other teams with risk assessment and management
Family Advocates:
- Meetings with families
- Answering phone calls
- Providing support and community resources
Intake Staff:
- Following up on referrals
- Interviewing families
- Assigning cases
Family Engagement Specialists
- Coordinating family meetings
- Helping families complete onboarding paperwork
- Providing consultations with clinicians
- Researching resources for unmet family needs
And, of course, no project would be complete without a considerable number of both regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings…
