Previously, we have reported that participation in the Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) helps to reduce children’s symptoms of trauma as rated by both themselves and their caregivers. Although our analyses continue to demonstrate these positive outcomes, we’ve recently run additional statistics that provide some new insights.
In the two graphs below, we plot caregiver’s ratings of their children’s trauma symptoms both before and after participating in therapy. Both graphs show improvements. However, the graph on the right contains plots for participants by each year of our grant. It demonstrates that we’re observing particularly strong improvements for families enrolled during this current grant year.
We also see similar results below when plotting the trauma symptom ratings made by the children themselves.
