As mentioned in our introduction, this month we’re celebrating the completion of three and a half years of service to families in the St. Louis metro area.

Here are some key take-aways from these notable numbers:
- Over half of the families who enter our program successfully graduate.
- Of those graduating, one-third require no additional treatment; nearly twenty percent have learned to successfully manage their trauma symptoms, but could benefit from additional non-trauma focused treatment.
- The most common reason why families admitted to our program didn’t graduate is that they simply never engaged in treatment. This is most likely due to the fact that we could not get them into services before the required 60-day window post trauma or disclosure of trauma.
- Nevertheless, overall we have had tremendous success onboarding families into our program. On average, they see one of our Family Engagement Specialists in about twelve days from the time of referral. This lag is due, for the most part, in our efforts to accommodate families’ schedules.
